The GTS version of the Glycerin 21 adds Guide Rails to the shoe for a high degree of stability for the runner who prefers a more supportive shoe. Fantastic DNA LOFT v3 super critical foam cushioning for a supremely soft experience during long training and racing.  Improved fit to the engineered mesh upper for a snug hold to the shoe without restrictions from stitching. A wider footprint due to the improved midsole and outsole gives a smoother heel to toe transition.

Do these fit similar to the previous version?

The Glycerin GTS 21 still has a similar fit to the 20.

When you compare the Glycerin GTS with other brands equal strength options, yes, it is one of the lighter models. But if you are looking for even lighter, then look at Brooks Hyperion GTS, Saucony Kinvara or Hoka Mach.
