Video analysis service & footwear fitting service
Runaround sports have recently invested in a new video analysis software system at its new store. This software allows us to offer a more in-depth service than ever before.
- The ability to record and compare different footwear simultaneously on screen.
- Store and recall previous test sessions & appropriate footwear
- Test strength & function of orthotics
- Diagnose and create custom moulded innersoles
- Identify soft tissue tension & inflexibility. (not diagnoses)
- Ability to create printed & electronic client profiles (can be send onto therapists/GP)
As part of the new services Runaround will offer we have created three levels of analysis
1st tier -Footwear fitting service is free of charge as part of the footwear purchase process. This level of service helps in the
selection of running shoes, but is not a recommendation as to a specific shoe. We base the selection of shoes upon information you give
us about your training requirements plus standard podiatry checks and size and width of foot measurements.
The Advance fitting service is a charged level, but does take the client to a selection of shoes using a more advanced testing procedure and ultimately more accurate. This testing utilises all from the footwear fitting service plus digital video analysis of both barefoot and in specific shoes. We will also check for function of orthorses and lower limb flexibility. The cost of the service is deducted from a recommended footwear purchase within 7 days of testing. Service fee £15 approx time 15-20 minutes
The Advanced analysis appointment takes the client to a far deeper understanding of their running action and potential issues.
This service is by appointment only. The advance analysis testing includes those of the advanced fitting plus testing of other lower limb function and recommendation of innersole construction. The client will receive a full report of the testing; this can be then passed onto therapists and will be stored at Runaround and used as part of a continuing motion monitoring program for the client.
The cost of the service is deducted from a recommended footwear purchase within 7 days of testing. Service fee £22 approx time 30 minutes
It is recommended that either of the advanced services would be of more advantage over the basic footwear fitting.
This ultimately decreases the chance of inappropriate footwear being recommended by Runaround to you.
