Runaround Sports & Health Ltd has been involved in specialist sports retail for over 7 years. Our staff are all runners, triathletes or thera pists. Across us all we have experience in track athletics, cross country and road running up to marathon distance. Plus fell, orienteering, iron-man triathlon and 24 hr endurance eventing.
A number of our staff are trained in lower limb biomechanics and are qualified to offer advice on correct footwear.
As much as we are experienced runners, we do not judge our customers by how fast or far do they run. We want to help all runners at all levels. We love talking with first-time runners whether a 'race for lifer' or 'London marathon'.
Runaround sports opened its new store at Top Barn Farm in Holt Heath Worcester in November. The store is part of an activity centre based around the fantastic land of Top Barn Farm. Running trails, mountainbike routes and swim lake will be on offer for use by spring 2008. The area has a farm shop offering excellent food for running and most sports, kids activity area, camping facilities and much more.

Shoe recycle scheme Runaround is pleased to have teamed up with The Variety Club, children’s charity, to help encourage the recycling of footwear.
A wee bit of information about running shoes. On average the midsole, (white cushioning bit under your foot), takes over 1000 years to biodegrade in the ground. Brooks running company are researching materials that will reduce this to less than 30 years but don't reduce the performance of the shoes.
If you recycle your shoes at Runaround either the shoe get cleaned and passed onto worthy new owners in needy regions of the world. Or the shoes are all broken down into original materials and then recycled for other products. Either way it is a whole lot better than rotting slowly for a very long time.
